When to call an agricultural extension worker

An app can help you notice a problem. An extension worker or plant-health specialist can examine the whole tree and the garden.

Ask for help when

  • Many trees are affected, or the problem is spreading quickly.
  • Trees are wilting, branches are dying or bark is damaged.
  • Berries or flowers are affected.
  • A scan result was uncertain, or does not match what you see.
  • You are thinking about buying any chemical treatment.

Your local government agricultural office or coffee cooperative can usually connect you with an extension worker.
