Using fungicides responsibly

Fungicides can help manage some coffee diseases, but the wrong product, dose or timing wastes money and can harm people, animals and water sources.

  • Confirm the problem with an extension worker before buying any product.
  • Buy only registered products from licensed agro-input dealers.
  • Read and follow the label for dose, timing, protective clothing and waiting periods before harvest.
  • Never mix products unless the label or an expert says it is safe.
  • Store chemicals locked away from children, food and water.

CAWA SCAN does not recommend specific products, mixtures or application rates.
