We buy in small runs and we handle every piece before it reaches the rail. Seams are checked, buttons are checked, and anything that will not survive six months of weekly wear does not get put out. If a cloth creases badly or a lining is thin, we say so on the label rather than after you have paid.

Every size, and we send it to you

Two things decide whether someone buys from us: whether we have their size, and whether they can get it. So we stock the full run rather than the middle of it, and we deliver countrywide.

Most orders outside Kampala are sized from the measurements on the size guide. Send us your bust, waist and hip and we will confirm the size before anything leaves the shop — that one message is what keeps returns close to nothing.

Why there is no card form on this site

Because a checkout page cannot tell you that the UK 12 blazer will sit better on you than the UK 14, or that the sheath dress runs small across the bust. You put pieces in the cart, send the list to us in one message, and a person answers. We confirm what is on the rail, hold your sizes for 48 hours, and you pay on collection — or pay the rider when it reaches you.

It is slower than a card form by about four minutes. It has also meant almost no returns, and nobody has to trust a card form to a shop they have not met.

Sizing, honestly

• Blazers are cut close in the shoulder. If you are broad across the back, take one size up.
• The Weekday Sheath runs small across the bust. Most customers take a size up.
• Trousers and skirts are true to UK sizing, and cut long so they suit a heel.
• Tops and knitwear are S to XXL and sit close. Size up if you want room over a blouse.

If you are between sizes, say so in the order message and we will tell you which way to go — or send both and let you pay for the one that fits. We would rather lose a sale than sell you something that does not.

Stock

We buy six to twelve pieces per size per run. When a colour sells out we may or may not get it again, and we will tell you which. Nothing on this site is listed as available when it is not.
